Of course your best defense against nail staining is a good base but with then you can get staining.I've been using denture cleaning tablets to clean and whiten my nails for a few years now. The best that I've found is Polident for Partials 5 Minute Cleanser. It works fast and it helps keep my nails free of stains. I have used Efferdent with great success but I have to soak my nails longer.
Denture Tablets
How to use: Get a bowl is large enough to allow you to dip in both hands (any bowl will do as the tablets will not harm them). Fill the with enough water to cover finger nails. Drop one tablet in a small bowl of warm water. If you use a really large bowl use two tablets. Once the tablet has dissolved, put in your fingers and soak for 5-15 minutes depending on the type of tablets you purchased. Once done simply rinse and go on with your nail routine. If you have heavy stained nails it will take several soakings.
Pop your nails into a lemon. You can squeeze out the juice and soak them in a bowl or simply wedge your nails into the lemon and soak for 10-15 minutes.
Lemon
Lemon Essential Oil also works great to whiten your nails and add moist to dry nails and cuticles. Simply pour some in a bowl and soak for a few minutes. I would not do this more than two times a week as too much moisture for nails is just as bad as not enough moisture.
H2O2 and Baking Soda
Hydrogen peroxide and baking soda work well in a pinch. Make a paste and rub on your nails. Let sit for 1-3 minutes and rinse off.
I put these in order of what has worked best for me. If you have any tips feel free to share them!
