Turn Around Time (TAT)
Before I even get started on a rave about these soaps I want to toss in that for some reason my order took a bit longer. On Etsy the order showed shipped but it took several days for me to get the shipping notice and then a few more for the item to ship. Checking their feedback I saw that someone who had ordered 4 days after me had their soaps a good week before I even got the shipping notice. It took around 18 days for me to get my soaps.
Now I have yet to leave feedback for this seller because I am torn. I love the soaps but I am unhappy about the TAT as it was not the one stated when I made my purchase. Now that does not stop me from loving the soaps it just makes me aware that things could drag when I place my next order. While 18 days is better than most companies I think a seller should stick to their TAT.
Aside from the TAT issue I really do love these soaps. I have used them both as shampoo and for body cleansing. Each bar varies on the strength of the smell. I have been using the Coffee and Chocolate one for my hair and recently talked my husband into use it too. My son has been using the Tobacco Orange soap for bathing and washing his hair. While I love tobacco scents this one is very much masculine and I could not use it. The Pumpkin Ale has a very nice maple note to it and reminds me of pumpkin pie. Honey Porter was a surprise to me and turned out to be my favorite so far. The best way I can describe it is a light flower covered in honey. I purchased 6 soaps in total but I have not tried them all and probably will not until after November.
While the soaps are made with beer they do not smell like beer. I wish they did just a little but I am happy with the results from the beer. For my hair it adds body and shine. For my skin I am not really sure but seems to help balance out my skin. My body is oily on the top and dry on the bottom. When I use the beer soap my bottom half is not as itchy.
I do plan to go back for some more beer goodness soon as I really would like to try Black pepper and Lime. Banana Nut Bread also caught my eye the last time I took browse.
